The team side performed well against Australia in the semi-final match but they lost a final match against the hosts England by nine in a game.
In last ten days, the team has been a hot topic among the cricket followers in India. “The win over England in the first match was a big boost for the team.”
When asked about any disapproval that the side might have faced about the manner in which things happened, Mithali said: “I always listen to myself, team and the staff, not critics.”
She was questioned if there should be a tournament like the IPL (Indian Premier League) for women in India, she said this something for the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) to deal with. “If something like this is started in India, it will help players get exposure but it’s up to the BCCI,” said Mithali.
