Rising Pune Supergiants bowler Jaydev Unadkat has been performing impressive skills this tenth season of the Indian Premier League 2017. Talking about the final match between Mumbai Indians, the left-arm pace bowler has said that having played with Australian Steve Smith and veteran wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni has been blessed.
Unadkat said that performing with them has got lots of confidence to grown from doing well. “I have grown in confidence from doing well. The first game was important and I kept going well from there.”
The 25-year-old RPS pacer Unadkat said to India Today in an exclusive chat, “I became the captain’s go-to-man in pressure situations and I am enjoying that. I also feel fortunate to get that opportunity. It will be great to finish on high.”
He further added, “My slower ones have worked well. I did not get enough game time in the past two seasons but I got it this and I was happy to have played a crucial role in the team victory.”
“Steve Smith and MS Dhoni have been brilliant. Both leaders have been great for their countries. We have been blessed to have them around.”
For now, it might be called again here as the fast bowler has bowled key overs for his team in the powerplay and at death. He again displayed his talents when he picked up a hat-trick to a 12 run win over champions Sunriser Hyderabad.
Bowling the final over, Unadkat has to defend 13 runs. And he returned with a wonderful over, a three-wicket maiden.
