Kolkata Knight Riders vice-captain Suryakumar said on Monday that the two-time champions will go all out this season to include a third star on their jersey by winning the 10th season of Indian Premier League 2017.
Generally, the team has a star on the top of their badge to show the number of their title that they have won.
The winners of 2012 and 2014 Kolkata Knight Riders lost to final champions Sunrisers Hyderabad in the eliminator round last year by 22 runs.
Yadav handled presently eight in the game as KKR failed to track down by 162 by David Warner and co.
Yadav said to the reporters on the sidelines of a city jewellery company’s tie-up with the purple group. “There is not point thinking about the last year. We have moved on and are thinking about the season.”
He added, “We have two stars on our shirt and hopefully will add a third giving you all reason to celebrate.”
West Indies opener Darren Bravo said that it’s an emotion of a return for him as he plays for same franchise in the Caribbean Premier League. “By all means, the IPL is the No. 1 T20 competition in the world. I think I am very privileged to be a part of the KKR team.”
The left-hander added that “KKR is the owner of CPL team (Trinbago Knight Riders), so for me its like a family and coming back home.”
On the occasion on big-hitting Yusuf Pathan, Australian left-arm spinners Chris Lynn and top-order batsman Manish Pandey also present there.
Panday said “For KKR I bat at No. 3 so I have to shoulder a lot of responsibilities. I have to play along with the middle order, so definitely we will not repeat mistakes of last year and try and play better cricket this time.”
He added that “IPL will be a good platform for me to get back into a reckoning for India ahead of the Champions Trophy. At the moment I am focusing on IPL and doing well for the team.”
