On Thursday, UAE (United Arab Emirates) played the 1st ODI match against the home team (Ireland). The 1st ODI match was played at ICC Global Cricket Academy, Dubai which was the ODI No. 3844 according to the ICC record.
For the both team, the toss was very important, but luckily UAE captain Rohan Mustafa won the toss and invited the home team to bat. There was a little shock news for UAE, batsman Chirag Suri has not in the best XI for the 1st ODI match against Ireland.
Ireland opener batsman-captain WTS Porterfield stuck a big ton for his team, who score 100 runs in 116 balls with the help of eight 4’s and one 6’s. Except him, only KJ O’Brien scored over 50 and at the end of the 49.3 over Ireland put 270 runs on the board.
In the UAE bowling department, Zaheer Khan did well who picked six wickets from his 6.3 over with 5.23 economy.
On the second innings, Captain Rohan Mustafa again put his pocket 43 runs. But Ireland bowler couldn’t let them chance to stay for a long time in the crease. Ireland bowler bowled well and success to stop UAE at 185 runs.
That the 1st win for home Ireland team and led the 2-match series by 1-0.
