Vijay Hazari Trophy: Dhoni’s Blast In Jharkhand Team (Group-D)

On Sunday, Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni showed his class in the Vijay Hazare Cricket Trophy.

In the group D, team Chhattisgarh again defeated by Jharkhand. Though that was not the first match for Jharkhand, Dhoni’s ton helps Jharkhand to start a fresh series for them.

That match was played at Eden Garden, Kolkata. Compare to other team players Captain Dhoni knows the pitch very well.

Match Summary, at the end of the 14th over Jharkhand team, fall down to 43/4. Then Captain Dhoni came out and made a huge partnership of 151 runs for seven wickets with Shahbaz Nadim and dragged the teams score to 200 runs.

Shahbaz went back in the 48th over with 53 runs (90ball- 4×4, 1×6), but captain Dhoni was there for last two over. Dhoni showed few hammered slog overshot and was out on the last ball of the 50th over.

At the end of the match, Dhoni’s score was 129 for 107 balls including six sixes and ten fours.

Before that partnership, Jharkhand also lost two wickets while Dhoni stays at the non-sticker end.

After that match, Virat Singh Said, “MS Dhoni respectable but not afraid of him.”

Group B: Himachal Pradesh: 339/8 in 50 overs (Prashant Chopra 159, Paras Dogra 77) vs. Delhi: 154 in 37 overs (Sarthak Ranjan 37; Dheeraj Kumar 5/24, Pankaj Jaiswal 3/24)

Group D: Jharkhand 243/9 in 50 overs (Mahendra Singh Dhoni 129, Shahbaz Nadeem 53; Kant Singh 4/33) vs. Chattishgarh 165 in 38.4 overs (Kant Singh 24; Varun Aaron 3/26, Shahbaz Nadeem 3/36).
