Reds midfielder of Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum said on Saturday that Manchester City needs to worry to face against them when the sides meet up in a high-profile Premier League clash at Anfield.
Team Liverpool are the top scorers in Premier League scoring 45 goals in 18 matches, however possibly more encouragingly, the output have been shared by talented forwards Divock Origi, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana.
According to the sources, when British media asked the Netherland international, he said “The way we are playing and the way are scoring goals in the home games, I think it will scare opponents. We have a lot of players who can score goals and win the game for us.”
“That’s a good thing because if it depends on one person, it can be a problem because if that person doesn’t score, you will not win games.”
Manchester City is not too far behind Liverpool in the scoring charts, they have scored 39 goals so far, and Georginio Wijnaldum approved that their Liverpool team were well conscious of the visitor’s ability in front of goal.
Wijnaldum stated that City has many good players and also on the bench who can score goals, “They have a lot of good players who can score goals, even players on the bench who can come on and score goals, so I don’t think there is a big difference,” he added.
“O course (Sergio) Aguero is a wonderful player and can win the game on his own for Manchester City, so he’s one of the threats we have to deal with.”
“But it’s not only Aguero, you also have (Kevin) De Bruyne, and (David) Silva, (Raheem) Sterling. You can go on with calling names.”
Team Liverpool, the second position in the table, a point in front of Manchester City, will hope to remain their title ambition alive by defeating Pep Guardiola’s men to stay in touch with leaders Chelsea, who hold a six-point advantage.
